The Anglican Church
The Anglican Church began in England in the 16th Century as an attempt to reform catholic Christianity. Today the Anglican Communion numbers about 70 million strong, is found in 164 countries and includes many languages, races and cultures.
The Anglican Church of Canada has 30 regions, called dioceses. Each is led by a Bishop. Our region is called the Diocese of Ontario and stretches from Trenton in the west, to Cardinal in the east, to Bancroft in the north. The Right Reverend Michael Oulton is our bishop.
The Diocese of Ontario is a companion with the Diocese of South Western Brazil.
