Our mission is "to be God's loving presence in our community and beyond".
We support the Partners-in-Mission Food Bank with the food barrel at the back of the church, for the collection of non-perishable food items. We also participate in their annual May food drive. We participate in the annual Kingston Christmas Hamper program coordinated by the Salvation Army.
Martha's Helpers is a committee of three and a number of volunteers from the parish. They provide funeral receptions in the church hall when requested by the Rector.
They appreciate the generosity of parishioners who respond on very short notice with donations of food, and the willingness to help with the chores associated with the event.
Please contact Marian Gates, Lynn Seymour or Edna-May McKay.
The coordination of the kitchen is a shared responsibility between Mary Anne Wright and Linda Schroeder.
Please contact one of them if you wish to replace, purchase or donate any items.
We support the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund, the Canadian Anglican response for emergency relief, refugees, development, and justice with donations of money.
The prayer chain invokes the hearts, minds and spirit of its members to intercede on behalf of those who seek support.
Contact Marian the church office if you want prayers of intercession for yourself or someone else.
St. Thomas' has a lending library just inside the front door. There is a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books, all with a Christian theme.
See Marina Hughson if you have questions or are looking for a particular book. The library is operated on an honour system basis.
Coffee Hour Hosts
Sunday morning coffee after the service provides a more informal time for people to get to know one another. Dave and Sylvie Fisher coordinate this ministry.
